Three free comics workshops about ANXIETY, CONFLICT + STRESS
Comics about things that stress us OUT.
Hi all!
We’re digging around in the vast SAW Free Friday Night Comics archives on YouTube (three years now, over 150 workshops) and are noticing some trends. Lots of music, lots of places, lots of monsters and animals, lots of graphic medicine.
And then we found three for you this week, about ANXIETY and stress.
Every major cultural transition stirs up a lot of anxiety. Here at SAW we make COMICS about it.
Take a look, and have… uh… fun!
1 DRAWING ANXIETY with ERIN WILLIAMS
The great Erin Williams walked us through safe and anxious ideas and had us mixing them up in story…
Thanks Erin!

Erin has many great books out. Her newest is What’s Wrong.
2. We really loved November Garcia’s Oppo(sites and and Giggles)
November Garcia who had us writing out our problems, but drawing the opposite expressions. Very therapeutic! We went deep, had fun, dealt with some real woes.
Thank you November! Buy her new book at Fieldmouse books!

And 3. Why not- my own, SAW vs the AI by Tom Hart…
was about trying to handle the anxiety of our impending future. Here, I invite you to come join us as we make utopian, dystopian, confused and majestic comics about living life with the AI!
This one was really creepy and anxiety inducing! Watch the Robots say “let’s make the universe our playground.” A good format too, very structured, and it turned out very funny.

We’ve always got more classes and resources, come take a look.
Ok that’s it for this week. Have fun revisiting these amazing workshops! Share them with your loved ones, or those who need less stress and more comics!
And join us every week for free live ones, on Fridays 7 Eastern / 4 Pacific here:
