Three free comics workshops about CONNECTION and GRIEF
Who's grieving? These workshops might help.
Hi all!
We’re digging around in the vast SAW Free Friday Night Comics archives on YouTube (three years now, over 150 workshops) and are noticing some trends. Lots of music, lots of places, lots of monsters and animals, lots of graphic medicine.
And then we found three for you that in some way are about connections in times of grief.
Experiments in Climate Drawing with Aidan Koch
In Aidan Koch’s lovely workshop, we focused on ways we could connect with nature, and the climate.
We focused, where we could, on positive things… and made beautiful comics about our place in and with nature. Can we stay connected? Come check it out.

Call Our Ancestors with Ellen O Grady
In Ellen’s marvelous workshop, we connected with our ancestors, however we defined them. We wrote to them, asked for their connection.
This was so wonderful. We saw some really moving responses, you can get a glimpse here.
Take a look! Come try it too. It’s a good new year workshop…
Caretaking Comics with Kit Fraser:
Caretaking comics was a lovely workshop about when we felt protected, and whom we protect and care for.
Another really wonderful one with a lot of sensitive stories shared.
Thanks so much Kit!
